Some of worries and concerns have to do with how big BYU is.  I’ve been a student at BYU-Idaho and I know BYU is a lot bigger and it kind of intimidates me.  I hope that I’ll be able to find everything okay, and that I’ll be able to make some good friends.  I know that a big part of that depends on me.  I get the feeling that people are a little more to themselves at BYU and I hope to be able to get close to classmates and professors and feel that I’m working with them, and not on my own.

I’m excited about everything that BYU has to offer.  I want to get involved in some of their dance activities and wonder where I can go to learn about what opportunities are available to me.  I’m also excited to get to know my ward and apartment complex.

One question I have has to do with transportation.  I don’t have a car and I want to know how students get around without a car.  How do they get to campus, the grocery store, the Laundromat, etc?  Would it be a good idea to get a bus pass and if so where do I get it and how does it work?

I’m excited for NSO because I feel like I’ll get a good feel for the campus during the campus tour.  I also think it’s a great opportunity to meet people and I look forward to that.  I think it’ll be great to interact with BYU students and be able to hear about their experiences at BYU and ask them questions.  I think that a lot of my questions will be answered at NSO and that it’ll be a great way to more fully understand the mission of BYU and receive inspiration as to what kinds of goals and focus I should have during my time there.

My worry is that I have attended another college before but it was not a university. I am concerned that my work load will be much more difficult than it was at Snow College and I wonder if I will be able to deal with the stress with how many classes I want to take this semester.

I am excited to learn and to progress in life by getting through school in an accomplished university. I am excited to be around a great student body that will uphold virtue and the same morals that I so desperately want to protect.

I want to know how I can get access to the parking at BYU and also how time consuming 18 credits will be here at BYU.

I am expecting to get oriented as I attend NSO. I hope to gain a knowledge of my expectations and also a head start on being a better student here at BYU. I am also expecting help in getting a BYU ID and help with unseen obstacles.

A bus pass would be a great idea. You can register for a Bus Pass through Route Y on the BYU site. Just go to the "Miscellaneous" menu under Route Y and "UTA Bus Pass" will appear at the bottom of that menu. You can purchase the pass online and then pick it up on campus at any of the locations listed.
